Our first aid training course ensure your staff can provide effective first aid as required under the First Aid at Work regulations. We are happy to train on your premises, or in our own dedicated training room.

First Aid at Work Requalifying Course
This 1-day course refreshes and updates the skills of people holding a current First Aid at Work certificate. Passing the course revalidates a First Aid at Work certificate for another 3 years. (First Aiders whose certificates have expired must attend the 2-day course to regain their qualification)
Intensive First Aid at Work Course
The course trains candidates to meet the standards required by the Health & Safety Executive. It lasts 2 days, including the exam. Successful candidates receive their First Aid at Work certificate, which is valid for 3 years.
Emergency First Aid Course (Appointed Person)
This course teaches the basic aspects of dealing with emergencies, focusing on those likely to occur in the workplace. Life saving techniques are taught. The course also includes recognising and responding to common aliments.
Successful candidates receive a certificate valid for 3 years.
Resuscitation Update
Participants are given the skills to carry out Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation procedures. It is recommended as an annual refresher for qualified first aiders, and also for anyone wanting to learn basic resuscitation techniques.
Defibrillator Training
Candidates are taught to assess situations involving a sudden cardiac arrest, and the correct usage of a defibrillator. We offer a 2-hour course for people with first aid training, and a 5-hour course for beginners.
Specific Hazards Training
We offer courses on specific hazards:
- Poisoning by Cyanide
- Treatment of Hydrofluoric Acid burns
- Administration of Oxygen
Working at Heights (Ladders)
The Working at Heights Directive (2000/45/EC) will need you to assess and reduce the risks to all workers. You must ensure they are trained, properly managed and are provided with PPE.
The course lasts for half a day and is carried out on site.
Manual Handling
This course is designed to give candidates an understanding of the principles of correct lifting techniques. It uses presentations, demonstrations and practical exercises.
The 2-hour course is aimed at all employees who are required to manually move and handle any kind of heavy goods or equipment.
