Our Services

Our Occupational Health professionals advise employers and employees of risks to health and how best to avoid them. Our services include :

  • Training including First Aid at Work initial and requalifying courses, manual handling, resuscitation, and defibrillator training.
  • Our Travel Vaccination and Advice provides up to date information on the health precautions required for travel to any part of the world to clients and business travelers.
  • Medical Assessments by Occupational Health doctors provide accurate information on employees fitness to start or continue work. Assessments are also carried out as required under specific regulations, e.g. Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, Radiation, Lead and Asbestos.
  • Pre-Employment and Recruitment Services ensure that potential employees are fit for the physical and mental demands and risks of the post. The thoroughness of the medical assessment is matched to the risks of the position, and can include health screening as required under special situations such as COSHH.
  • The HOHS Employee Support Helpline is provided by ICAS (Independent Counselling Advisory Service). We provide access to an independent employee advice and counselling service which is available to your staff and their families to provide confidential support on a range of personal issues including emotional problems, family concerns, work related worries, and stress.
  • Health Screening Our Occupational Health Advisors carry out screenings such as Audiometry, Lung Function and Skin surveillance, as required by specific legislation.
  • Health Promotion including Well Woman and Well Man clinics, Executive Medicals, and Heart Risk Screening.
