Counselling

Through a partnership with ICAS we can provide you and your employees with confidential counselling services.

The resolution of issues is not always as straightforward as you may think.  Dealing with the "human factor" is a complex issue and together with ICAS and FIRSTcall we can provide help with everyday issues such as:-

  • Health issues
  • Bereavement
  • Family matters
  • Legal
  • Stress
  • Trauma
  • Bullying
  • Personal injury
  • Redundancy
  • Financial issues
  • Relationships
  • Drug and alcohol Issues
  • Debt
  • Accidents
  • Work changes
  • Critical accidents

Symptoms arising from the above can manifest in different ways, the individual, for example, may suffer from:-

  • Weight loss/gain
  • Tiredness
  • Panic Attacks
  • Rashes
  • Headaches
  • Depression
  • Tummy Upsets

Even more likely are the behavioural problems that will result, obviously differing from person to person:-

  • Poor timekeeping
  • Bad decision making
  • Low productivity
  • Lack of concentration
  • Fatigue and tiredness
  • Poor work relationships
  • Absenteeism
  • Lack of self esteem
  • Tearfulness
  • Irritability
  • Unusual absences
  • Staff turnover
  • Erratic behaviour

Of course, counselling is not just for employees, often we counsell the referrers.  Referrers often seek advice themselves when they feel anxious, out of their depth, over involved in a situation, angry or frustrated.  We can help all levels of the organisation.

"An employee's concentration at work was being severely affected due to serious concerns about a family member.  With extended family counselling, the situation was much improved and the employee was able to concentrate again at work".
